Director Mysskin has earned a name for himself in the Tamil cinema industry with his unique filmmaking style. One of his successful projects was the horror thriller Pisasu which hit the screens back in the year 2014 with actor Naga in the lead role. The film received critical acclamations from the critics and audience alike. With the reception the entertainer enjoyed in mind, director Mysskin decided to make a sequel for it. When the official announcement was made the fans of the filmmaker got super thrilled. Actress Andrea Jeremiah has played the lead role in the flick. Now, the movie has been made and is all set to hit the screens soon.
The production house has dropped the teaser of the flick on social media. Taking to his official twitter account, director Mysskin himself has shared a poster from the film along with the links to the teaser of the movie in different languages with the captions, “Happy to present my Pisasu 2 teaser.” Here is the post made by the director.
The one-minute odd cut, as usual, has no dialogues in it. It opens with a close up shot of actress Andrea Jeremiah’s face and in a nanosecond moves to a naked portrait. Followed by scenes cut at a rapid pace with a tense background music. A red tone of light has been used throughout the teaser. The teaser hints at a high degree of horror. In an interview, the director had stated that the drama will have a lot of ‘A’ scenes. Looks like he was not joking. With the teaser, one can say it is very likely that the censor board will be slamming it with an ‘A’ certificate.
Storyteller Mysskin’s last outing Psycho did not do as well as anticipated. So, it is said that the director has banked high on this venture to return to winning ways. Apart from actress Andrea Jeremiah, the casting of the flick includes actors Poorna, Ajmal Ameer, Santhosh Prathap, and Rajkumar Pitchumani essaying various other supporting roles. Actor Vijay Sethupathi has played an extended cameo. Cinematographer Siva Santhakumar has cranked the camera for the flick. Music director Karthik Raja, son of Ilayaraja has composed the music for the flick. The editing department of the drama has been handed over to editor Keerthana. The movie is funded by T. Muruganantham under his banner house Rockfort Entertainment.
On the work front, actress Andrea Jeremiah who was last seen on screens in the third installment of the Aranmanai franchise is gearing up for the release of Kaa directed by film maker Nanjil in which she has shared the screen space with late actor Salim Ghouse. She is currently busy shooting for her upcoming drama titled Vattam under the direction of story teller Kamalakannan in which she will be seen alongside actors Sibiraj, and Manjima Mohan, and for two of her untitled projects helmed by film makers Dinesh Selvaraj, and Bobby Antony. Apart from these ventures, the actress has Maaligai helmed by director Dil Sathya, and No Entry filmed by Alagu Karthik in various stages of post-production getting shaped for release.
