Gorgeous actress Tamannaah Bhatia who made her debut in Kollywood through the romantic drama Kedi was last seen on screens in the horror comedy entertainer Devi 2 helmed by story teller A. L. Vijay which had actor Prabhu Deva in the lead role. The horror drama opened up to negative reviews from the critics in the industry as well as from the audience and failed to keep the box office registers ticking. But the actress has numerous films in her kitty and is confident to come back to the winning ways soon. The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her next Tamil flick titled as Petromax. Now we have news about the release date of the project.
The movie which went on floors a couple of months ago has been wrapped up in a very short time and is ready to make its way to the theaters. Now we have news coming in that the production house has plans to release the flick on 27th of October as a Diwali release. According to a source close to the production unit, “Actress Tamannaah’s Petromax is out of the post production stage and is ready for release. The production house is eyeing for a Diwali release and is making moves accordingly.” The horror comedy is helmed by director Rohin Venkatesan of Adhe Kangal fame.
The comedy horror drama will be an official Tamil remake of super hit Telugu film Anando Brahma. The Telugu version of the movie which had actress Taapsee Pannu in the lead role enjoyed a good reception among the audience and tasted commercial success as well. We will have to wait to see whether its Tamil version replicates the success that the Telugu version attained. The flick is about an NRI who desires to sell his haunted ancestral house to a good price. But due to the ghost stories revolving around the property he merely gets cheap proposals. In order to sell his property at a high price he comes up with a plan and hires a group of people who are in need of money to stay in the property to prove that his property is not haunted by any ghost. But when the group gets in to the house things takes unexpected turns.
The motion picture is funded by Eagle’s Eye Production house. The musical department of the movie is handled by musician Ghibran. While cinematographer Dani Raymond of Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada fame has been behind the lens for the film, editor Leo John Paul has taken care of the editing department of the entertainer. Apart from actress Tamannaah Bhatia, the flick has actor Yogi Babu in a pivotal role while actors Kali Venkat, Sathiyan, Veteran Mansoor Ali Khan, Munishkanth, Bugs, and Ramdoss will be seen in various other supporting roles.
On the professional front, actress Tamannaah will next be seen on screens in the Telugu historical drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy alongside Chireenjeevi. The actress is currently busy shooting for her Hindi venture Bole Chudiyan. Apart from these movies the actress has Action directed by Sundar C in which she has played the love interest of actor Vishal and a Telugu flick titled as That is Mahalakshmi in the post production stage.
