The South Indian queen Trisha Krishnan was last seen in the mass action entertainer Petta which had super star Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film went in to become a huge box office hit and also the actress was critically acclaimed for her role as Saro. The actress who is currently basking in the success of Petta is gearing up for the release of her next women centric film named as Garjanai directed by Sundar Balu, which is said to be inspired by the super hit Bollywood film NH10 which had actress Anushka Sharma in the lead role. Now, the production unit has unveiled the trailer of the drama on social media.

Actor and script writer Vijay Sethupathi has shared the trailer of the flick on his social media account. Taking to his twitter handle, the actor shared the trailer of the long delayed movie and wrote, ‘Congrats team Garjanai.’ The trailer of the action venture has plenty of action sequences in which Trisha is constantly on the run and fighting the bad guys on her way. We also get to see the actress come across a wild animal and how she manages to run away from it. Like the film maker had stated the actress indeed seems to have performed some high octane stunt scenes in the entertainer. Guess, we will have to wait for another couple of weeks to witness the actress performing the action sequences as we have reports that the production unit is eyeing to release the movie on 6th of September.
Earlier speaking about the project, story teller Sundar Balu had stated, “The film is a chain of events that happens in one night. Trisha plays Madhu in the drama, a western dancer who visits Kodaikanal with her boyfriend played by Amit Bhargav. In the tourist destination Madhu gets dragged in to trouble. How she gets out of the situation she is caught in, is what makes the rest of the story. The story will also be quite apt for any mass action hero. But things are changing and we are able to witness at least one women centric film hitting the screens in a month. People are just expecting fresh and quality content. I am sure this movie will stand up to the expectations of the audience.”
The motion picture is bankrolled by Century International Films production house. The music for the flick is composed by musician Amresh Ganesh. While cinematographer Chitti Babu has been behind the camera for the entertainer. Besides actress Trisha, the casting unit of the drama has Vamsi Krishna, Amit Bhargav, Madhumitha, Sriranjini, Vadivukkarasi, Thavasi, Swaminathan, and Aryan depicting various other significant roles.
On the professional front, actress Trisha is currently busy shooting for Raangi under the directorial of Saravanan and also for her action comedy entertainer titled as Sugar directed by story teller Sumanth Radhakrishnan, in which the actress along with her favorite veteran actress Simran are set to flex their muscles. Besides these projects the actress has Paramapadham Vilayattu which will be directed by Thirugnanam in her pipeline and also Sathuranga Vettai 2 which is in the box all shaped up waiting to hit the screens.
