Actress Jyothika is one of very few actresses in the cinema industry who have had a successful second innings after their marriage. The actress who began her second innings with a bang with the feel good drama 36 Vayadhinile has not enjoyed much success with the flicks that followed it. The actress who was last seen on screens in the social drama Raatchasi is gearing up for the release of her next action comedy entertainer titled as Jackpot in which she has shared the screen space with veteran actress Revathi. The shooting of the flick was wrapped up in just 35 days.
Now, the production unit has launched the trailer of the venture on the special occasion of actor Suriya’s 44th birthday on social media. Taking to his twitter handle actor and producer of the movie Suriya shared the trailer of the action comedy movie. Sharing the trailer the actor wrote, ‘Thank you all for your warm wishes! Here is Jo’s first action comedy!’ The actor also has revealed that the film will be hitting the screens on 2nd of August. In the trailer we get to see both the actresses donning the khaki and take on notorious baddies in town. As the genre delineates both the actresses have fun by dancing and joking around while they take on goons who are way more intimidating than them. We also get a glimpse of them going undercover in order to get justice to the victims.
The highlight of the two minutes ten seconds cut is the closing of it where we see actress Jyothika perform a high octane stunt scene in the rain while similar to that of the mass hero films of Kollywood the henchmen fly to the right and left. We will have to wait for few more days to find if the venture has more stunt sequences of this sort. The movie will hit the screens under the directorial of story teller S Kalyan. Apart from Revathi and Jyothika, the casting of the film includes Yogi Babu, Jagan, Anandaraj, Mottai Rajendran, and Mansoor Ali Khan portraying various other supporting roles. The music for the venture will be composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar. The cinematography department of the entertainer is handled by Ananda Kumar while editor Vijay will be trimming the action comedy flick.
On the professional end, actress Jyothika is quite busy in her second innings with a handful of movies in her kitty. The actress who is gearing up for the release of Jackpot is busy shooting for her next untitled flick under director Jeethu Joseph of Papanasam fame in which she will be sharing the screen space with actor Karthi for the first time in her career. Apart from this, the actress also has Pon Magal Vandhal which will be directed by J. J. Fredrick and bankrolled by her husband Suriya.
On the other hand, actress Revathi is busy shooting for Eriyum Kannadi and she also has Azhiyatha Kolangal in her kitty.
