Actor Atharvaa was last seen on screens in the action cop thriller 100 which hit the theaters under the directorial of story teller Sam Anton in which he romanced actress Hansika Motwani. Though the unit celebrated the success of the film, it is said that the flick did not do well commercially. But the actor is quite confident to come back to the profitable zone as he has once again teamed up with director R. Kannan for a project.
We had reported earlier that the production unit of the venture had roped in actress Anupama Parameswaran of Premam fame to play the female lead role in the flick. Now we have reports that this venture has gone on floors in Chennai with a formal pooja. The yet to be titled movie is said to be a passionate romance drama. There are also reports that the entertainer might be a remake of super hit Telugu Movie Ninnu Kori which had actors Nani, Nivetha Thomas and Aadhi Pinisetty in the lead roles. If reports are to be believed there should be an addition to the casting very soon. This entertainer will mark the second time association of director R. Kannan and Atharvaa after the success of Boomerang which has set the expectations of the film on a high level.
Speaking about the unnamed project, director R. Kannan said, “In recent times, we are bestowed with numerous murder mysteries and thrillers in Tamil cinema, including my films. So I felt that it is time to have a break and make a feel good movie. My next project will focus on issues in family and relationships, while being high on romance. It will be a feel good intense romance story. We have planned to shoot the project predominantly in and around Chennai, while we will fly either to United States or to Australia for one schedule of shoot. We are planning to wrap the shoot by the end of October and release the venture by the end of this year.”
Actor Atharvaa is set to play the role of a PhD scholar while his romantic pair Anupama Parameswaran will be essaying the role of a Bharathnatyam dancer. The rest of the cast and crew that will be part of the project are expected to be announced soon. The motion picture will be bankrolled by Kannan under the banner Masala Pix. Shanmuga Sundaram of 96 fame will take care of the cinematography department for the flick, while Kabilan Vairamuthu will be penning the dialogues for the film.
On the profession end, actor Atharvaa recently wrapped up the shoot for his next movie titled as Valmiki. The actor is currently busy shooting for his next project named Kuruthi Aattam which is directed by story teller Sri Ganesh in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar of Meeyatha Maan fame, Radhika Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, and Vatsan Chakravarthy.
