We had reported earlier that actors Simbu and Gautham Karthik will be teaming up for the official Tamil remake of much talked about neo noir action thriller project of the Kannada film industry Mufti, which hit the screens under the direction of Narthan starring veteran actor Shiva Rajkumar and Sriimurali in the lead roles. The project went on floors last month with a formal pooja held in Chennai. Both the actors have been busy shooting for the project currently and reports state that actor Simbu seems to be on time for the shoot. But unfortunately, the trouble for the project seems to have come in the form the bad weather.
The unit has camped in Karnataka and the first schedule of the shoot involving both Simbu and Gautham is said to take place in full swing. But for the past couple of days the weather in the state has been unpredictable and the unit is facing extreme heat one minute and in the next with dust clouds a heavy shower. But amidst the rough weather the shooting is said to take place swiftly. Actor Gautham Karthick has shared the news on social media. Taking to his twitter account the actor sharing a picture of himself with actor Simbu from the shooting spot the actor has announced that, “No matter, heavy winds, scorching heat, pouring rain or dust clouds, all of which we faced today. We keep moving forward, always forward. Under the direction of Narthan sir, the show goes on!”

The dedication level of the actors and the team involved in the action thriller is being bestowed with appreciations for their professionalism. This project will mark the first time association of actors Gautham Karthik and Simbu. The action entertainer is about a cop who risks everything and goes undercover in to the world of crime to track an underworld don who provides justice to people through violence and his own set of laws. The film is expected to hit the screens by the end of the year, most probably as a Christmas release against Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero directed by P. S. Mithran of Irumbu Thirai fame. The yet to be titled film will be bankrolled by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under his home banner Studio Green. Lyrist Madhan Karky will be penning the lyrics for the songs in the film.
On the work front, actor Gautham Karthik is currently busy shooting for the Tamil version of Mufti as well as for his next film Theemaithaan Vellum under the directorial of director Santhosh Jayakumar of Iruttu Araiil Murratu Koothu fame.
On the other hand, actor Simbu who is currently shooting for Tamil version of Mufti will be teaming up with director Venkat Prabhu, for a political action thriller film titled Maanaadu in which he will be romancing actress Kalyani Priyadarshan. The actor recently wrapped up his cameo part for actress Hansika Motwani’s film Maha. Apart from these projects the actor has Vaaliban and Manmadhan 2 in his kitty.
