Director Vetrimaaran and actor Dhanush combo has never ceased to amaze the cinema lovers. Whenever, news hits the K town about the duo coming together for a venture, the expectation level automatically sky rockets without any sorts of promotion activities. All the projects that hit the screens under the combo from Polladhavan, Aadukalam, to the recent block buster Vada Chennai, all the movies have kept the box office ticking. Even the current project Asuran that the duo is working on has created a lot of buzz after the first look poster of the film was unveiled on social media.

The action entertainer will be a double treat for the fans of actor Dhanush as the actor will be seen in dual roles. The actor has depicted the roles of a father and son in the action drama. The film which went on floors at the end of April is almost done and is getting shaped up for release. Now we have interesting news about the venture. Earlier, we had reported that the music for the flick will be composed by musician and actor G. V. Prakash Kumar and that the music album of the film will have four numbers out of which lyricist Egadesi will pen down lyrics for two. Now we have reports that the multi facet actor Dhanush has sung a song titled ‘Polladha Boomi’ in Asuran. It will be an additional treat to the fans of the actor who have enjoyed most of the songs sung by the actor from his very first song Naattu Sarakku to his recent sensational song Rowdy Baby. The actor had lastly sung Oda Oda and Kaadhal En Kaadhal song from Mayakkam Enna under the composition of G. V. Prakash Kumar.
The musician himself has publicized the news on his twitter handle. Sharing a picture of himself with actor Dhanush the musician wrote, ‘The Asuran Track is called as Polladha Boomi sung by Dhanush.’ The intense action entertainer is slated to hit the screens on 2nd of October. Apart from the successful combo, the fact that the story is based on the popular novel Vekkai penned by Author Poomani, has further upped the expectations of the film.
Malayalam actress Manju Warrier will make her debut in Tamil film industry through the flick. Apart from actors Dhanush and Manju Warrier, the film has director Balaji Sakthivel making his acting debut, Aadukalam Naren, Prakash Raj, Pawan, Guru Somasundaram, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Pasupathy in various other supporting roles. On the technical end, Velraj has cranked the camera for the film, while Vivek Harshan will be trimming the action drama. The motion picture is produced by Kalaipuli Thanu under the banner V Creations production house.
On the work front, actor Dhanush who is gearing up for the release of Asuran is currently busy shooting for his untitled project under the directorial of Durai Senthilkumar in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Sneha nearly after 13 long years. The actor also has Enai Noki Paayum Thota on hold for a long time now waiting for release.
