Ravi Mohan popularly known as Jayam Ravi is one of his kind artist who delivers some sort of social message to the audience through his movies. He never shies away from speaking up the contemporary issues that is happening in the state. The actor has delivered back to back hit ventures in the likes of Tik Tik Tik and Adanga Maru and is very keen to deliver a hat trick hit. The actor is currently gearing up for the release of his next flick Comali directed by debutant director Pradeep Ranganathan. Jayam Ravi is said to have donned nine different get-up in the comedy drama that will also have actress Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead role accompanied by comedian Yogi Babu, Sampath Raj, Samyuktha Hedge, K. S. Ravikumar in various other supporting roles.
Now, nearly sixteen years after his debut in the romance drama Jayam in the year 2003 directed by his elder brother Mohan Raja, the actor has now reached his 25th project. Earlier it was reported that his 25th film will be directed by his brother. The actor himself stated in an interview that his 25th venture would be the sequel of the block buster movie Thani Oruvan, which reintroduced the brothers in a different angle to the Tamil audience. But due to some unknown reasons the flick had to be pushed to the 26th slot of the actor’s career. And it was announced that the actor will be teaming up with director Lakshman for his 25th venture. The actor himself announced the news on his twitter handle.
Now we have an update on the project. The project is set to go on floors with a formal pooja on 20th of June. According to a source close to the unit, “The first schedule of the flick will commence from 20th of this month. The first schedule of the shoot has been planned for 20 days and will take place in Kuttralam.” Earlier speaking about the project, director Lakshman had stated that the story-line of this entertainer will be very different from the 24 movies that the actor has starred so far.
Apart from actor Jayam Ravi, the film has Bollywood actors Ronit Roy and Ashutosh Rana in the grey shades. Actress Niddhi Agarwal will be making her debut in the Tamil cinema industry as the female lead. The music for the project will be composed by D Imman while it will be bankrolled by the actor’s mother in law Sujatha Vijayakumar. The duo already has two hit movies Romeo Juliet and Bogan under their name. With the factor of 25th movie of Jayam Ravi the expectancy level for the project is quite high.
On the work front, the actor will next be seen on screens in the romantic comedy drama Comali. The actor who will begin shooting for his 25th film from 20th of June will then be joining his brother Mohan Raja for the sequel of the block buster venture Thani Oruvan.
