Ace director Maniratnam’s next film Chekka chivantha vaanam trailer was released today, and the Tamil version was released by AR Rahman while the Telugu version Nawab trailer was released by Akkineni Nagarjuna.
The trailer of Chekka chivantha vaanam has slick visuals with the cool Vijay Sethupathi narrating, and he reveals the plot revolving around a family lead by kingpin gangster Senathipathi played by Prakashraj. Veteran actress Jayasudha plays his wife, while Arvind Swamy plays varadan, Prakashraj’s eldest son who wants to ascend the throne after his father, while Arun Vijay plays his second son Thyagu who has hidden intentions to reach the same throne. Simbu plays the youngest son Ethi who’s secretly being a gangster surprising his family, while Vijay Sethupathi as cop Rasool has dual shades – he’s an old friend of varadan and also is assigned by department to bump off Senathipathi family.
What happens when the war begins between Rasool and his team of cops and the three sons of senathipathi, who ascended throne next, is what the movie is all about. Chekka chivantha vaanam has Jyothika playing Arvind Swami’s wife while Aditi Rao Hydari plays his lover. Aishwarya Rajesh and Dayana Erappa play Arun Vijay and Simbu’s pair while veteran Thyagarajan plays a rival gangster. Chekka chivantha vaanam Releases on September 28.
