Attakathi Dinesh , Samutrakani and Anandhi have acted in lead roles, which was directed by Vettrimaaran. Dhanush and Vettrimaaran have jointly produced the movie. Lyca Production company has made the release. The director has directed the movie based on the novel ‘Lockup’.
Earlier the movie was screened in Venice Film festival and has won many awards for the making. The movie has won awards for best editing, supporting actor and for the excellent making. Presently the movie is recommended for Oscar Award.
The Indian Film association president has announced the information recently. Nearly 29 movies were in the waiting list for recommendations, but Visaranai is the only movie which is recommended for Oscar Award. Earlier ‘Hey Ram’ movie was recommended for Oscar and after that Visaranai movie is recommended presently for the Oscar Award.
