‘Visaranai‘ is bankrolled by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaran’s Grass Root Films as a joint venture. Vetrimaaran himself has directed the project. The movie has a stellar cast of actors like ‘Attakathi’ Dinesh, Aadukalam Ramdoss, Anandhi, Misha Ghosal and Samuthirakani.
The movie recently entered 72nd Venice International Film Festival in Orizzonti competitive category. It has to be noted that this is the first Tamil movie to do so. The movie got lots of praises and accolades.
Director Mysskin, Director A.L.Vijay, Amala Paul, Taapsee heaped praises on the movie. Vetrimaaran already made some cuts to suit the movie. So theatrical version will have less violence and intensity.
Dhanush now tweeted and confirmed that the movie will release on 29th January. His tweet reads as, “After its festival rounds VISAARANAI releases on 29/01/2016.A hard hitting, intense film. Not suitable for the faint hearted.”
