‘Premam’ was written, edited, and directed by Alphonse Putharen. The director already scored a success with his debut movie ‘Neram’ featuring Nivin Pauley and Nazriya. That movie was also a sensational hit.
His second release ‘Premam’ featured Nivin Pauly as male lead and Madonna Sebastian, Sai Pallavi, and Anupama Parameshwaran did female lead roles. The movie had 17 debutante actors. It was one of the biggest victories in 2015. The victory is not just in Malayalam, but also in Tamil.
The movie recently completed 200 days of its run in Chennai Box-Office. This is the second non-Tamil movie to do so. The first movie was ‘Avatar’. The movie is right now being made in Telugu under the title ‘Majnu’. Naga Chaitanya is doing lead role.
There were lots of speculations regarding Tamil remake. It was said that Vijay Sethupathi is doing lead role and Hansika will be seen as Malar miss and Lakshmi Menon is going to do role of celine. But we hear from credible sources that Premam remake is not happening any time soon.
