Pongal, the biggest harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, will start from 12th January, 2018. There are so many Kollywood films, which are being released are this season, to gear up for Pongal. At this time the weather is very comfortable and people are in festive mood, and there is a great chance to the box-offices for being houseful. At the beginning, it had been reported that eight films will be released on Pongal, but now the number of the films has been reduced to five.
The five movies are – ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam’, ‘Sketch’, ‘Gulaebaghavali’, ‘Bhaskar Oru Rascal, Madura Veeran. There will create a big competition between these films. In ‘Thaanaa Sendha Koottam’, many big stars like: Suriya, Keerthy Suresh, Ramya Krishnan have acted and it has been adapted from Akshay Kumar’s Special 26. Another film ‘Sketch’, is an action thriller film the story is related to the gang wars and is starring by Vikram and Tamaaraah and is directed by Vijay Chandar. Ravi Kishan, the Bhojpuri film hero, RK Suresh and Radha Ravi have acted as deadly villains. ‘Gulebagavali’, which is an action comedy film, is directed by Kalyaan. Prabhu Deva and Hansika have played in the leading role and Prabhu Deva has performed some great dances in this film. ‘Bhaskar Oru Rascal’, is also an action comedy film and the story is based on family drama and Arvind Samy has acted as the hero. ‘Madura Veeran, which is an action drama film and the story is based on Jalikattu. The leading role of this film is acted by Shanmuga Pandian, son of actor politician Vijaykanth.
